I think we all feel unappreciated at work at times. Like you’re just another cog in the wheel. Especially in the current job market, it’s definitely a hirer’s market (did I just make up that phrase?). You have to be on your toes because there a plenty of people willing to take your place. Consequently, this may give the big bosses less incentive to be attentive to your needs. I guess it’s the nature of business. Just don’t get sick!
